One militant and two civilians were killed in two different shootouts between militants and BSF personnel during the last 24 hours.
Two civilians were allegedly shot dead by BSF personnel after an attack by militants at Kumbi Bazar today noon.
According to reports, the incident occurred shortly after some unidentified gunmen opened fire towards the BSF jawans and escaped.
Two civilians were killed inside a toilet when the BSF allegedly opened fire.
Some unidentified gunmen in full combat dresses came in a jeep and opened fire towards the BSF personnel near Kumbi Thong-Khong.
Additional BSF troops were rushed and a man hunt was launched at the area.
The BSF personnel allegedly opened fire at a man who was inside the toilet of one Moirangthem Binoy at Kumbi bazar.
The man received multiple bullet injuries.
The personnel then allegedly targeted another toilet situated next to Binoy�s house and opened a volley of shots.
Wahengbam Manglemba (47) who was inside the toilet was killed instantaneously.
Speaking to this reporter the son of Manglemjao, Bungochandra (23) said that his father had gone to the toilet before the attack on the BSF personnel.
He said he was inside the house and clearly heard the shooting spree of the BSF men.
After the shooting the BSF men called out Bungochandra and his 17 year old sister.
The BSF men asked him to open the door of the toilet.
While he was attempting to open the door of the toilet the BSF men took up position behind his sister, he said.
Bungochandra said when he opened the door he saw his father lying in a pool of blood with his face blown away.
His chest also bore multiple bullet injuries, said Bungochandra.
The security personnel asked Bungochandra and his sister to step back into the house after he had identified the body.
The person killed inside the toilet of M Binoy is identified as Wahengbam Nobochandra alias Lukhoi (42) of Kumbi Kangjeibung.
His left hand was blown away.
One BSF personnel was reportedly injured in the attack at Kumbi Thong-Khong.

The BSF reportedly picked up a 17 year old youth from Kumbi bazar identified as Moirangthem Tiken today.
In another incident a lance corporal of PLA was killed in an encounter with BSF yesterday at 9.30pm at Khoiru Leikai near Moirang Lamkhai.
One M-22 rifle of the AK series was recovered.
DIG of the BSF, PK Mishra in a press release said BSF personnel while on duty at Lamkhai Chowk, Moirang saw some persons moving in a suspicious movement.
The security personnel asked them to stop but they were fired upon by the militants.
In the retaliatory firing one of them was killed.
The release further said that one pocket diary was recovered from the slain militant.
The incident occurred while the BSF personnel attacked to the 128 Bn and stationed at INA complex in Moirang were on ROP duty.
The BSF personnel also immediately returned the fire.
As both sides were engaged in a fierce gun battle, a number of bullets also landed at the Moirang police station.
The police personnel also returned fire thinking that they had come under attack.
The PLA activist was found shot dead at Khoiru Leikai while the BSF personnel were conducting search operations in the area after the gun battle.
The deceased was attired in battle fatigues.
Source said one M-22 Rifle of the AK series along with two magazines and57 rounds of bullets were recovered from his possession.
