2-day vendor development prog begins

Imphal, March 20 2023:
A two-day vendor development programme for MSMEs, which is being organised by MSME Development and Facilitation Office (MSME-DFQ), commenced from Monday at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Sanglen, Palace Compound.
The inaugural function was attended by Padmashree K Ibom-cha as chief guest and MSME-DFO joint director Th Baite as president, while NSIC manager L Ibetombi, Manipur Industrial Development Council chairman P Loken and MSME Technology, Imphal deputy director Sinam Yoren Tomba were present as guests of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, K Ibom-cha stressed the need to be more at the forefront with regard to women empowerment.
He then mentioned that many new entrepreneurs are producing different kinds of products, of which food-based products generate maximum income.
Thus, the state government needs to encourage and provide benefits of the start-up scheme to entrepreneurs without any favouritism, he stressed.
In all, 40 stalls are participating in the development programme.
