Transporters and Drivers' Council (TDC) suspends stir

The agitation of Transporters and Drivers' Council (TDC) to put a halt on plying of all commercial vehicles along the National Highways has been called off following an understanding with the State government today.
According to report received by Hueiyen Lanpao, members of TDC met CM Ibobi at around 3 pm today at the latter's office chamber.
During the meeting, the CM was assisted by MLA Ng Bijoy and IGP (LO1) L Kailun while TDC was represented by its President H Ranjit, General Secretary Ng Haridas and Secretary of All Manipur Road Transporters and Drivers Union H Kulamani.
During the meeting, the CM informed that I/E SDPO Manjit, who was involved in firing tear gas canisters at a crowd mourning for the death of FCI truck driver Gobardhon at Mantripukhri on February 9, has been transferred as IGP (LO Zone 1) SO2.Satisfied with the actions of the State Govt, the TDC suspended its two-day long agitation with immediate effect from today.
