Sports cum Literary meet of MSCC, CBCS kicks off

A combined sport cum literary meet of Mt.
Sinai Christian College and Covenant Bible College and Seminary kicked off on Friday with PDA Chief Engineer and Technical Consultant HS Verypam gracing the event as chief guest.
In his inaugural address as chief guest at Mt.
Sinai Christian College at Rumh, Ukhrul, HS Verpam said the the present generation belongs to the youths and asked them to take role in reforming the society and reviving the past glory.
''Students should work for spiritual growth,'' he stated.
He said the present Tangkhul Christians are in disunity while saying these two Christian colleges must set example to mend the divided Christians.
The chief guest also wished the two institutions to produce more scholars, theologians and leaders of society.
Further, he said the Tangkhuls have seen many popular sportsmen in the past and it is also time to follow the footsteps by younger generation.
In the inaugural programme, the chief guest lighted the ceremonial lamp and administered the oath to the students.
The students presented cultural dances and songs.
Free Paothing delivered the welcome address and Ningwon K pronounced the vote of thanks.
Mt.
Sinai College lecturer Thanchipem Jagoi moderated the inaugural function.
