ATMA conducts medical camps

All Tangkhul Medicos Association (ATMA) has conducted medical camps at New Tusom and Chamu villages for ensuring the well being of the rural peoples.
In a brief interaction with this correspondent, the president of ATMA, Dr K Soreingam, president of ATMA conveyed that as many as 28 doctors including specialists were engaged for the medical camps and health awareness programme.
He continued that over hundred patients from Tusom Khullen, Tusom CV and Challou were given free medical treatment & consultation at New Tusom PHSC centre.
Continuing that a medical camp for the locals of Phungtha, Khayang and Roni villages was held at Chamu, he expressed dismayed on seeing the pathetic PHSC centre with no basic health amenities in this region.
ATMA team assured the villagers that free surgical and medical camp will be held in Ukhrul district headquarters in June-July with ultrasound and lab testing facilities.
Meanwhile, the visiting medical team highlighted the villagers about the pandemic outbreak of Covid-19 and also enlightened them on how to prevent the infection.
Dr Soreingam informed that ATMA is a non-profit, self-help association constitute of Tangkhul doctors and medical students.
