Organizations condemn Khwairamband bomb blast

All India Students' Fede-ration (AISF) condemned the bomb blast at Khwai-ramband Bazar which killed three people inclu-ding a student.
Also condemning the irrespon-sible attitude of the government, AISF doubted the loyalty of the security personnel as the blast in the high security zone is not an isolated incident in recent times.
Further, AISF demanded to ensure proper functioning of the CCTV cameras installed with a huge amount of public money and punishment of the miscreants, said a press release by AISF president, N Sanahal.
Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) also condemned the Khwairamband blast as a selfish and immature act.
KSA appealed to the government for strict actions to prevent such incidents in future, failing which KSA warned of strong agitations, said a press release by KSA's secretary academic & community affairs, Bidyasagar Chanura Lamchinglel Kangleipak (CLK) on its part condoled the death of three persons in the Khwairamband blast, which also injured 21 persons.
CLK questioned whether such acts are being perpetrated by security agencies with an eye on reinstating AFSPA in the city as no actions has been taken till date against the series of blasts, says a press release by CLK president, Th Tampakleima.
Joining the chorus, Lilong Political Unified Link (LIPUL) also condemned the various bomb blasts and questioned the Home Department about the security measures taken up till date.
It further questioned the utility of security frisking within the city limits as such incidents have become a routine affair.
LIPUL further appealed not to repeat such incidents in future, said a press release by LIPUL publicity cell member, Md Sahidur.
