Medical camp conducted

39 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a medical camp at Tampi village, Chakpikarong today.
Assam Rifles Medical Officer of 39 Assam Rifles along with staff provided medical treatment to more than 150 people including 50 males, 70 females and 30 children, informed a press release issued by PRO 1GAR(S).Apart from providing necessary medical, assistance, basic knowledge on health education, hygiene and sanitation were also imparted.
An interaction session was also organised where people were acquainted about common outbreak of disease during monsoon season.
The medical camp received overwhelming response from local populace.
Chairman, Tampi village of Chakpikarong along with the locals, especially from weaker section of society expressed their gratitude to Assam Rifles for continued support and noble effort being undertaken by 39 Assam Rifles for this humanitarian act as befitting to their motto of being 'Friends of the North East People', it added.
