TSA Chandel expresses gratitude

Thadou Students' Association (TSA), Chandel District, local bodies, Chiefs and the public have expressed gratitude to Action Aid Association India and WL Hangshing, Additional Chief Secretary of Manipur and Dr Vumkhoneh Haokip, MO - TA&H Department for sponsoring a two-day Free Health Camp for 11 border villages, particularly for the victims of the recent landslide in Chandel District.
The camp was jointly organised by Reach-M, TSA-CDL and Indigenous Peoples' Development Organisation (IPDO) Chandel District on October 20 and 21 last at Joldam Villages.
During the camp, medical benefits were given to 330 needy persons.
Meanwhile, the organisations also thanked the district administration, health department and Dr Shantikumar Singh i/c MO Moreh PHC and his team members for their technical support to the camp with full commitment on serving the citizens in need.
The organisations also expressed dismay over the non existence of road connectivity with some villages in the Indian side and also the difficulty of reaching them using roads in neigbouring Myanmar.
They appealed the authority to reconstruct the DC road which is the only communication link between Moreh and New Samtal border villages in public interest.
