Thangal bodies condemn abduction

Thangal Shanao Long (TSL), while expressing strong condemnation against the abduction of Irungbam Irabanta, has appealed to whoever is responsible for his immediate and safe release.
In a statement signed jointly by its President Silla J Konghay and General Secretary S Asha, TSL said, 'we, as wives and mothers also express our deepest empathy with the wife and family of Irabanta in the pain and suffering they must be enduring' .
'Such cowardly act can only create unwanted situation and disturb the peaceful co-existence of our society.
Such culture of abduction is alien to our society and should not be repeated', the statement added.
On the other hand, denouncing it as a dastardly act, Southern Tangkhul Naga Union/ Tangkhul Naga Aze Longphang (TNAL) has condemned the abduction of Irungbam Irabanta Singh of Nongdam Maning Leikai, RK Ngaraipam of Ramrei Aze Village and Robin Jajo of Shingkap Village on May 27 last.
In a press note issued by its Vice Chairman, TNAL also fervently appealed to the organization concerned involved in the abduction to release them at the earliest without any condition before the matter goes out of hand.
