Active tally rises, four more test positive

Imphal, September 13 2022:
The number of active Covid-19 cases in the state went up by two on Tuesday with government bulletins reporting four new cases and two recoveries.
The four new positive cases were reported from four districts out of 386 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, showing a positivity rate of 1 per cent.
The four fresh cases (1 male & 3 females) are residents of Imphal West (1), Kangpokpi (1), Thoubal (1) and Ukhrul (1) districts.
With only two recoveries reported on Tuesday, the number of active cases rose to 25 out of which 12 are in home isolation.
No death case was reported on Tuesday and the toll from the pandemic stands at 2148 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus had infected 1,39,768 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.
There are 37 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 61 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 100 D-type and 4 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 2188 vaccine doses administered that took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,37,587, out of which 13,14,590 had received the second dose while 2,55,078 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49805), Imphal East (32025), Thoubal (10291), Churachandpur (11279), Kangpokpi (3184), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9977), Senapati (2546), Ukhrul (3365), Kakching (6973), Chandel (2794), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053), and Pherzawl (477) .
Fatality counts in different districts remain static with 712 patients from Imphal West having succumbed to the viral disease, Imphal East (517), Thoubal (192), Churachandpur (169), Kangpokpi (70), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur 1206), Senapati (13), Ukhrul 52), Kakching (124), Chandel 43), Noney (5), Tengnoupal 16), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5), and Pherzawl (0) .
