Youth leadership programme held at Moreh

Imphal, March 15 2013 :
A day-long youth leadership programme organized under the joint aegis of United Committee Manipur (UCM) and Meitei Council Moreh (MCM) was held at the latter's office at Moreh today.
The inaugural function of the programme was attended by Y Nabachandra, President of UCM and M Thoiba, President of MCM as presidium members while RK Ranendrajit, consultative member of UCM and H Ibotombi Khuman as Guests of Honour.
Delivering the key note address, Joychandra Konthopujam, General Secretary of UCM, pointed out that Moreh which is a big business place is a home to various ethnic groups.
With various communities settling in the border town, Moreh could be rightly termed as Mini India.
However, with no government initiative to make the border town a developed one, the people settling in Moreh should take the role of the Opposition and try to bring the right form of administration, he exhorted the attending youths.
