Police raids NIPCO office; 4 pick up over Nagamapal blast case

Imphal, October 29 2018:
Police today raided the office of Civil society organization National Identity Protection Committee (NIPCO), Oinam Premjit President NIPCO were picked up along with his wife and 2 other suspects behind the October 20 evening Nagamapal bomb blast case which killed a CRPF personnel while injuring another in critical condition.
Report said that Oinam Premjit, President of NIPCO along with his wife were picked up from his resident at Oinam in Bishnupur district early today morning in connection with the Nagamapal blast case.
Two person identified as Sana of Nongren and Sahabuddin of Phoubakchao were also picked up by the police.

The police also recovered 3 pistol along with magazine from their possession.
Around evening today police team of Imphal West cordon the office of NIPCO located at Keishampat Lairembi area and raided the office.
No information regarding the development has been revealed by any of the police saying that investigation is going on and revelation of the development at the stage may sabotage the investigation.
Source said that the police team seized a computer set, printer and lots of discs.
The source also added a sum of Rs.44,550/- was also recovered from the office.
Mentioned may be made that one CRPF Constable was killed another seriously injured after a bomb exploded at Nagamapal at around 5.30 pm on Oct.
20 .
The incident occurred when a hand grenade exploded at the rear of a CRPF truck (AS-01JC/4384) near Ibudhou Moirangpokpa community hall at Nagamapal Phougeisangbam Leikai.
CRPF Constable Umesh M Helavar of 142 CRPF from Karnataka was killed instantly on the spot while Constable N Ramarajan of 109 CRPF from Tamil Nadu sustained serious injuries in the blast .
The two personnel are reportedly engaged in pre-induction training at 86 CRPF complex, Charhazare and they were returning to the camp after getting ration items from Imphal when the incident occurred.
