70th United Nations Day observed

A deferred 70th United Nations (UN) Day was observed at Naga Peoples Movement for Human Rights (NPMHR), Ukhrul Office.
Daniel Ramsan, a senior legal professional deliberated the main theme of the programme.
The Senior members of the participants acknowledged the roles UNO has been playing, such as raising Dignity of Labour, Decolonization Process, efforts for World Peace, the cause of racial and ethnic minorities, handling human right abuses, racial, gender discriminations and the cause of children around the world 1945.The UN declaration on the rights of the Indigenous People has been particularly acknowledged.
The participants decided to make just two most important United Nations' events observed by the community every year - on December 10, the International Human Rights Day and September 13, the day the International Declaration on the rights of Indigenous People was made.
They nominated some six (6) persons to meet and prepare with the community social and religious organization leaders to achieve the above expressed wishes to incorporate from the year 2016 .
The 70th UN Day observation in Ukhrul also decided to support the finalization of Framework Agreement signed between Government of India and the Naga Negotiators and voluntarily spelled out to create a concerned people's opinion generating centre in Ukhrul District Headquarters for the community in line as hinted by Naga Hoho at its Federal Assembly at Kohima on October 19, 2015 .
The home based members of NPMHR, Legal professionals and young social activists participated in the programme.
