CPI meeting pledges to strengthen party

The annual meeting for two important branches of Kumbi Local Council, CPI namely, Terakha and Uchal Makhong was organised yesterday.
The meeting pledged to strengthen the integrity of the party and its branches at various places.
As such, CPI will field candidates to serve the purpose.
Addressing the gathering, CPI State Secretary Laishram Sotinkumar stated that the recently released union budget was anti-people and pro-corporate.
He continued that the people can expect less from the budget as crores of funds have been deducted from various sectors including agriculture, NAREGA, health, urban development.
Saying that the budget is anti-people, the left parties organised a week long protest from February 12 .
Sotinkumar alleged that the 2020-21 State budget under the leadership of N Biren, will not benefit the public as well.
