Bull Dozer attempted to be burnt down

Kakching, November 17 2014:
Around 50 miscreants attempted to set ablaze a bull dozer being utilized in the work for construction of an industrial estate at Koraopokpi in Thoubal district under Manipur Government today around 9 am.
According to a source, the miscreants who came from the direction of Laiching Minou asked the driver to cease the engine of the bull dozer.
The driver Haobijam John (25) from Salam Konjin and Helper Wahengbam Naobi (20) son of Raju from Ithai khunou were slapped on the face for resuming work in spite of earlier warning not to do th work.
Although a few older persons insisted others not to burn down the bull dozer, a few youths attempted to set the vehicle ablaze.
They warned the driver and helper not to work at the area, failing which the engine of the vehicle would be burnt down.
The miscreants went back towards Laiching Minou.
Wahengbam Naobi, the helper told this reporter that some persons from Laiching Minou had come to the place and asked to stop the work around a week back.
Thereafter, work was stopped for 2/3 days.
In the meantime, some parts of the bull dozer were reportedly damaged by the offenders.
Polished rushed to the spot, but no arrest has so far been made.
