Passenger bus service along Indo-Burma road has resumed Wednesday following the bus owners and authority of Manipur Transport Department reached an agreement.
Indo-Burma Road Bus owners and Drivers Association was on strike for several days protesting against issuing of alleged numerous permits to Winger van owners to provide passenger service along the route.
Representatives of the association and authority of the Transport Department held a meeting at Imphal during which both sides agreed not to issue any further permit to any kind of passenger vehicle to ply on the route.
