Imphal, July 12 2019:
Altogether 14 people including workers of BJP and other political parties have joined North East India Development Party (NEIDP) after quitting their parent parties.
They were accorded a warm reception at NEIDP office, Tera Sapam Leirak this afternoon.
Speaking at the reception function, NEIDP State president Dr Ng Bijoy claimed that the 14 people joined NEIDP after putting trust in the party's principle of regionalism and its vision of 'change through unity'.
They have joined NEIDP because they are disillusioned with National political parties' nonchalant attitude towards regional issues, Dr Bijoy said.
National political parties are least concerned with the issues of CAB, border row etc, he remarked.
BJP Chandel District ST Morcha former secretary Sh Angningjoy said that they joined NEIDP because they believe in the principle of regionalism.
