Polling for election of a new MPP president has been once again re-scheduled on February 4, informed a press release issued by MPP State returning officer Thangjam Udoi Luwang.
Earlier, the election was scheduled on January 21 and seven candidates filed nomination papers for the same post.
While the nomination papers of one candidate was rejected after scrutiny, two candidates withdrew their nomination papers leaving four candidates in the fray.
The four candidates contesting for the post of party president are Oinam Jugindro (Wangoi AC), Saratkumar Maimom (Uripok AC), Yeng- kokpam Priyokumar (HeingangAC) and Mayengbam Amutombi (Hiyanglam AC) .
Their fates would be decided by 399 voters, it said while informing all the voters to bring voter ID card or ration card or driving licence or Aadhaar card or PAN card on the election day.
