Covid awareness drive held in Moreh

Moreh, July 21 2021:
Moreh Battalion Assam Rifles, Thoubal district administration, Moreh police and Covid Task force Moreh jointly conducted a Covid Awareness drive in Moreh Sub-Division on Wednesday.
Using the PA system, the importance of following SOP guidelines was highlighted during the awareness drive and the people advised to remain indoors if there is no necessary works.
The drive began from Moreh police station and passed through Moreh town, ward no 7, Heinou Makhong Leikai, Pangal Basti, Nepali Basti, Premnagar Leikai, Dalpati and Haolenphai village near the Myanmar Border.
Face masks were also distributed to the villagers.
The awareness drive was attended by Additional SP (LO) Moreh Police Sangboi Gangte and OC Moreh Police station Dilip Singh among others.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the drive was organised with an aim to spread awareness about COVID resurgence to the locals of Moreh town and border villages.
The medical team of the battalion provided basic knowledge about detecting early symptoms of COVID-19 and the actions to be taken thereafter.
The people of Moreh and villages conveyed their gratitude to the Assam Rifles and other agencies for their efforts in spreading COVID awareness, the PRO said.
