Imphal, November 27 2014:
'A number of commercial establishments have been using the domestic LPG cylinders meant for household use, thereby creating artificial scarcity of gas LPG cylinders in Manipur.
Commercial establishments including hotels, restaurants, chicken centres, canteen, lodge and goldsmith units should use LPG cylinders obtained from LPG distribution agencies in a fair manner'.
This was stated the All Manipur Domestic LPG Consumers' Welfare Association (AMDLPGCWA) in a press statement.
These establishments should get LPG connection as a rightful consumer from the nearby agency ant they should not acquire LPG cylinders from black market or in a stealthy manner, the statement added.
Saying that there is wide difference between commercial and domestic LPG, the Association informed all concerned to seek help through the mobile numbers: 8731929340 or 7308737079.
AMDLPGCWA also appealed to the people to support its drive against illegal use of LPG connections by the commercial as well as domestic users.
LPG Cylinders bore the mark of 'A', 'B', 'C' or 'D' which indicate the quarter of a year for use of the cylinders.
For example, the marking 'D10' signify that the cylinder is to be used from October to December 2010.If the given timing is lapse, the valve of the cylinder may become leaked, thereby arising the need for change of the valve, said AMDLPGCWA, while appealing to consumers to be aware of the markings on the cylinders.
