NCAC peeved with Chandel ADC

Imphal, September 29 2018: The Naga Chiefs Association, Chandel (NCAC) has expressed their deepest resentment against elected ADC, Chandel functioning its office at Imphal.

It would be highest interest of the people of Chandel for the elected ADC members to function at the district headquarters, said a statement of NCAC.

The statement conveyed that the election for ADC was held after a gap of long years but the elected members are functioning its office from Imphal for the past 8 years.

Saying that only 2 years are left for the present tenure to complete, it requested the elected ADC members to function at the district headquarter for the remaining years.

It said that the association has submitted memorandum to the authority concerned regarding functioning of the members at the district headquarter at the earliest.

It also said that the association has failed to see any developmental works taken up by the elected members of the district and added that a huge sum of money implemented for different developmental works through ADC has not reached the public yet.

Adding that elected ADC members are mandate of the people of Chandel, it questioned the State Govt about the projects, schemes and works implemented by the ADC members and also questioned why the members are so much interested to function at Imphal.

It also said that the allegation of some of the elected members who says that they could not attend the office at district headquarter because of the threat from insurgent group are baseless.

The statement also expressed disappointment on immediate transfer of Miss Daryal Julie Anal, MCS and CEO ADC Chandel, who was posted for just three month and questioned the State Govt on what requirement the transfer was made.

The statement said that department like PWD, TD and PHED exist in Chandel only in name as there is no report of staffs attending the offices.

Saying that DTO are FCS godown are the immediate requirement of the district, the statement questioned why the State Govt are ignoring all the requirements of the district and interested only in transferring an officers.

It further appealed the State Govt to allow functioning of elected ADC and other departments at the district headquarter in the interest of Chandel people.
