Mountaineers welcomed

Imphal, September 29 2018:
Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association (MMTA) has extended warm welcome to 9 mountaineers who scaled Mt Baisakhi (6000m approx) and M Chingkheinganba, Asian Sport Climber at its Minuthong office today.
The event was attended by CAF & PD Minister, Karam Shyam, MMTA president Bijoy Kakchingtabam, MMTA founder president, Rk Ranendrajit and Director National Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (NIMAS) Arunachal Pradesh, Col Safraz Singh as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
Saying that the discipline followed by the mountaineers during the expedition was professionalism, CAP & PD Minister Karam Shyam lauded them for conquering Mt Baisakhi.
The expedition was flagged off from the office of MMTA on September 5.Altogether 23 mountaineers, including some from Arunachal Pradesh took part in the expedition.
