NSUD's golden jubilee

Imphal, October 20 2013:
The grand finale of Naga Students Union, Delhi's Golden Jubilee Celebrations under the theme 'the motto@50: Pause, Rewind and Play' took place on the 18th of October, 2013 at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex Hall, INA, New Delhi, with Dr.Aryo Shishak, Retired Surgeon and also the First President of the NSUD (1963- 1964), as Chief Guest and President of NSUD.
Lhusisato Iralu as Functional President.
The Chief Guest was escorted to the venue by a group of warriors, accompanied by the President, NSUD Lhusisato Iralu and distinguished elders.
The program began with the flame lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest, marking the beginning of which was immediately followed by the official release of the 'History Note on the NSUD's 50 year history.' Thereafter, a performance by the Naga Warriors echoing our ancient traditions took place.
Pastor Chenithung Ezung of the Lotha Christian Fellowship, Delhi gave the invocation prayer.
In his presidential address, Mr.Lhusisato Iralu reminisced about the long and exciting journey that NSUD had travelled these past 50 years, and that the 50th anniversary celebration was not just about the mere existence of a union, but more importantly, about the unity that the NSUD has always sought to represent, and the unity that it has enjoyed these past 5 decades.
