CNPO backs UNC blockade, warns against transport of essential commodities

Chandel, July 03 2026: The Chandel Naga People's Organisation (CNPO) on Friday issued a public notice expressing support for the ongoing economic blockade called by the United Naga Council (UNC) and warned against the transportation and supply of essential commodities during the blockade period.

In the notice, the organisation stated that the movement of all essential commodities, including food items, medicines and fuel, would be strictly prohibited while the blockade remains in force.

It further cautioned that any individual or group violating the directive would be held solely responsible for the consequences and would face appropriate action by the concerned authorities.
