SIMS to begin free treatment of destitute people

Saina Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) Group of Institute has informed that it will begin free treatment of destitute people who are not able to get treatment in hospitals due to financial problems because of Covid-19 second wave.
In a release, SIMS Group of Institute additional director cum nodal officer SK Wajid Shah stated that the institute has been extending free ambulance service to those who do not have the facility to reach hospital.
In addition to this, the institute will provide free treatment to destitute patients at their own homes so as to ensure an egalitarian society.
Urging the people to help one another irrespective of caste, creed or religion, Wajid said that the institute is for the people in general and the poor, helpless and destitute in particular.
Doctors, nurses and paramedical staff of SIMS are there for the people, he continued, while adding that SIMS has been providing service for conducting Covid testing at home.
He informed that SIMS has so far provided free ambulance service to 1632 people for transporting them from their homes to Covid centres or hospitals.
A team led by SIMS managing director Dr S Kumar along with SIMS helping group, SIMS group of institute, Manipur is prepared to help the needy who could not visit hospital for treatment because of financial problems.
