'Future of India depends upon youths'

A seven-day long National Integration Camp being hosted by Negru Yuva Kendra, Thoubal under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt.of India has begun from today at the Counting Hall of DC office, Thoubal.
Inaugurating the Camp as Chief Guest, L.Tilotama, Vice Chairperson of Board of Governors, NYKS, Delhi pointed out that the future of India depends upon the youths of the country.
She advised the youths to sharpen their knowledge and fight with brain and new ideas.
"The mind and the thought are very important, and Education and skill Development are the need of the hour", she said.
T Ranjit Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal, who presided over the function, advised the youths for change of views and ideas, and appealed to all the participants to avoid bad habit and bad company.
"We have to build up the feeling of oneness among the youths.
That will be the essence of the National Integration Camp", he said.
Earlier, delivering the keynote address, Y.Laksman Singh, welcomed all the participating youths from other states and Manipur and highlighted the detailed programmes and activities of the camp.
Jackie Ruivah, Zonal Director and Mufti Fariduddin, Member of State Haj Committee, Manipur were also present during the inaugural function of the camp as Guests of Honour.
The participating youths from Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh presented their traditional songs during the inaugural function.
Teams from West Bengal, Assam, Sikkim are also expected to arrive for the camp.
Apart from youths from other states, selected youths from 6 district of Manipur are also participating in the camp.
