The meeting condemned the attack at the residence of Nagaland Minister Dr Benjongliba and Nagaland Parliamentary Secretary Deo Nakhu.
According to Manipur NPF President Awangbow Newmai, the party has begun its preparation for the upcoming ADC election which is likely to be held before May, 2015 .
Enunciating that the NPF as per the resolution adopted on February 2 executive meeting, it has decided to participate the election in addressing the need and fight for Tribal rights in Manipur and also work for peaceful resolution of Indo-Naga issue.
"We have begun mobilization of voters and will intensify in the coming months to fully prepare for the local self government which is facing many issues due to non-devolution of powers", the former MLA added.
However, the NPF leader refused to comment if the UNC, NSCN-IM and civil bodies would boycott the said election or not.
Hitting out at the State congress Government, Awangbow Newmai stated that it would ensure free and fair ADC election to tackle manipulation and tempering of EVM machines and state machineries that was witnessed during the Lok Sabha election last year.
He also spelled out that if NPF achieves majority in most of the ADCs, it would expose the misrule of the present Ibobi-led Congress Government, while adding that NPF would also vigorously fight for the devolution of power which has been denied by the state government despite clearly enshrined in the Indian constitution.
