Free counselling and awareness prog held

Imphal, May 26 2017:
A free counselling and awareness programme on admissions to undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral programs for North East students was held today at IBSD (Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development) Campus, Takyelpat Imphal.
Governor Dr Najma A Heptulla and IBSD Director Prof Dinabandhu Sahoo graced the inaugural function as the chief guest and rresident respectively.
The Governor said, "Manipur has many universities like Agricultural Univer sity, Cultural University, Technical University, Manipur University and even Sports University will be sett up.
Students from outside can come here and learn many things since the State is rich in culture, customs, flora and fauna.
Students can even enrol for exchange programmes and avail the benefits" .
Prof Dinabandhu Sahoo stated that at the time of admission, students and parents from North East face many problems.
Before students leave the State for further studies, both the students and parents should know some of the dos' and don'ts and that is the reason why this programme has been organised.
Dr Pratibha Jolly, Principal Miranda College (DU), Dr P Hemalatha Reddy, Principal Sri Venkateswara College (DU), Prof Dr Aditya Narayan Mishra of Sri Aurobindo College DU), Dr Prakask Narayan of DU, Dr M Arunjit Singh of Kalindi College (DU) and Dr M Ojit Singh of Ramjas College (DU) who attended the programme as resource persons were also felicitated.
