E coli in Moreh

Imphal, May 26 2017:
Ecoli bacteria have been report-edly found in bore water in Moreh and so far, 73 persons suffering from diarrhoea have been admitted to Moreh district hospital.
Health Director Dr K Lokendra said that an IDSP team went to Moreh town on May 18 and conducted an epidemiological investigation wherein abundant presence of E coli bacteria were detected in bore water and other water source areas.
The Director further said the stool samples of the ad-mitted patients also showed high presence of E coli bacte- ria and urged the people of Moreh town to use clean; water for daily use and drink only boiled water.
