Imphal, May 26 2017:
Even as Families of Involuntarily Disappeared Association, Manipur (FIDAM) could not organise the week-long observance of the International Week of Disappeared this year as done in the previous years, the disappeared victims' families association today held a condolence service at the office of Human Rights Initiative located at Wangkhei Thangapat Mapal.
In a statement, FIDAM urged the Centre and State authorities to immediately fulfil the demand to conduct a DNA test on the skeletal remains dug out from the erstwhile Tombisana HS campus.
It also urged the authority concerned to complete other cases of involuntary disappearance at the earliest.
