MLA L Ibomcha Singh, who is also the President of NCP Manipur State Unit, has discussed the present burning issue pertaining to the missing of original boundary pillars along Indo-Myanmar border that has resulted in a serious dispute between the two neighbouring countries with Praful Patel, who is not only the Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, but also the Deputy Leader in Lok Sabha and in-charge of North Eastern States of NCP.
During a meeting at MNC Bhawan, Guwahati on September 29, MLA Ibomcha discussed the issue at length with the Union Minister, who was fully convinced and seized the matter, and assured that he would definitely lobby with the Prime Minister, the External Affairs Minister and other concerned Union Ministers for doing the needful to resolve the border issue at the earliest possible in the interest of the people of Manipur so that no land of Manipur is ceded to Myanmar and the territorial boundary of Manipur is protected.
During the meeting which lasted for about half an hour and was attended by C Doungel, Ex-Minister of Manipur, MLA Ibomcha also handed over a memorandum on behalf of the NCP and the people of Manipur to the Union Minister.
