Salai Holdings ask Govt's clarification

Condemning alleged termination of an agreement between Smart Medicos, BBPI and State Government in connection with Jan Aushadhi Services under Chief Minsitergi Hakshelgi Tengbang, Salai Holdings Pvt Limited has asked the Govemment to clarify on the matter at the earliest.
According to Board of Director of Salai Holdings Pvt Limited, N Somorjit, the agreement was singed by the three parties on April 16 this year.
The Jan Aushadhi Services under the CMHT aims at providing medicines at affordable prices to the poors.
The agreement was signed for a term of one year.
So far, the Smart Medicos has provided service/affordable medicines to about two thousand people under the scheme/agreement, he said.
Condemning the alleged termination of the agreement, he said that the Government has violated a term of the agreement, which required the Government to notify the concerned parties one month prior to termination.
He asserted that the Director of Health Services in a letter dated August 10 informed the proprietor of Smart Medicos about a cabinet decision to terminate the scheme taken on June 15 .
"The termination of the agreement will have serious impact on the lives of the poor," he said.
