Special Session on sound

As a part of the ongoing 34th Archives Week Celebration cum exhibition cum seminar a Special Session for Senior Citizens for Sound Archives was conducted today during which record and nomenclature of hills and its people were discussed at length.
Addressing the gathering, Dr K Sushila, Deputy Director of Manipur State Archives explained that the session has been facilitated with an aim to gather vital information on relevant topics from Senior Citizens and put in the records as Sound Archives.
She added that by doing this, younger generation could ascertain the history of the State and its people.
In the first session held with Dr Kriti as Moderator, Senior Citizens RK Mangisana, N Binoy, RV Mingthing, Stephen Angkang, L Birendrakumar, Rev Th Thangmei Thangal, A Santoskumar, retd Lt Col RK Rajendra and Hijam Indrakumar spoke on related topics.
In the second session which was moderated by W Damudor, former IGP, A Tomba, Padmashri; N Laxman, former principal of Standard College; Konsam Munindra, editor of Sanathong; Dr Md Badaruddin and Haobam Sanajaoba, columnist presented papers.
