Three new cases detected in state

Imphal, April 08 2022:
The state on Friday reported three new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 323 samples tested in the last 24 hours and registered 0.93 per cent positivity rate against 1.92 per cent recorded on Thursday.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll remains at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people of which 61 had received second dose of Covid vaccine.
The last 24 hours reported no dis charge of patients and number of active cases rose to 49 out of which 25 (51.02 per cent) are in home isolation.
There are 299 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 18? in RIMS.
Out of the 16 districts, only three reported fresh Covid cases on Friday.
So far, the state has recorded 11,358 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 52 new positive cases and no fatality.
The weekly number of new cases and new fatalities are 42 and 0 respectively.
According to official reports, all the 3 fresh cases (2 male & 1 female) are from among the general population and they are from Imphal West (1), Ukhrul (1) and Senapati (1) .
All necessary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,146 (general population - 1,32,132 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,34,977 (general population -1,29,970 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 49 (general population - 49 and CAPF personnel - 0).The recovery rate is 98.42 per cent.
A total of 146 D-type and 40 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours.
Whereas, 2278 vaccine doses were administered on Thursday and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,46,688, out of which 11,86,986 had received second doses and 67,458 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on 1DSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48725), Imphal East (30435), Thoubal (10151), Churachandpur (11052), Kangpokpi (3130), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9831), Senapati (2492), Ukhrul (3272), Kakching (6892), Chandel (2718), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1200), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036) and Pherzawl (465) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,199 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,653 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,17,047 tests per million population against the national average of 5,64,525 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent.
In the past 24 hours, only 323 samples were tested and the single day positivity rate was 0.93 per cent while the cumulative rate stands at 8.55 per cent.
