CSWA welcomes school conversion

Imphal, October 30 2016:
The Chingmeirong Social Welfare Association (CSWA) has issued a statement welcoming the initiative of the State Government to convert 70 Aided High schools having Classes III-X and V-X into fully fledged Govt High Schools with the absorption of unapproved post/teachers as per the Govt staffing pattern.
The statement explained that The North Imphal Girls' High School is the only girls' school in the northern part of Imphal as well as at Wangkhei Assembly Constituency that has been providing free education since it began in 1969 .
The school has 122 students enrolled in the current academic year.
