Education Department upgrades its website
New email account, post box opened

Along with introducing a new email account, [email protected] and a new post box number 253, the website of state Education Department www.manipureducation.gov.in has been upgraded.
The upgradation of the Education department's website was formally unveiled by Education Minister M Okendro during a function at the conference hall of Education (S), Lamphelpat today.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Okendro sought suggestions and opinions of the public and urged them to send through the newly introduced email account and post box before June 30 next, so as to help in bringing about development and improvement in the Education sector.
The newly introduced email account and post box of the Education would be looked after by a Nodal officer, he added.

The Minister observed that topping the whole country in the recently declared results of CBSE Exam, 2012 by Md Ismat, a Manipuri lad clearly indicated that Manipur is not lagging behind in the field of education in comparison with the other states of the country.
This is the right time for bringing about a change in the present education system of the state.
After a number of Manipuris successfully cleared the UPSC exams and the NDA, another Manipuri lad outsmarting the rest of the Indian students in the CBSE exam, 2012 will attract students from outside to take up further studies in Manipur.
In order to pave the way for outside students to get enrolled in institutions of Manipur, admission forms of some of the best schools in the state would be made available in Delhi, the Minister announced.
After the function, a meeting was also conducted by the Minister along with his staffs to discuss nine different agendas.
The agendas included submission of CPIS datas, finalization of seniority list, giving joining reports to newly recruited teachers, execution of works related to SSA, RMSA and Mid-Day Meal scheme, to stop establishment of schools without the approval of the state Government and Manipur Education Code (1982) .
