Remembrance day organised

The All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) in collaboration with the Naga Student's Union, Chandel organised Remembrance Day at ANSAM Memorial park, Kapaam, Chandel today.
UNC president Gaidon Kamei, Naga Students' Federation president Kesosul Christopher, Naga Peoples' Movement for Human Rights co-convenor Alung Rungsung, Naga Women's Union president Asha Wungnam, ANSAM finance secretary Joseph Adani, Goodwill Mission convenor Ningthouja Lancha, family members of the martyrs and numerous people took part in the event.
Speaking at the event, Gaidon Kamei said that the Naga people have been struggling all these years for their rights and many people have lost their lives in the process.
He urged the Naga people to work tirelessly for their rights and not to let the sacrifices of the brave souls go in vain and also urged the people to work together to bring harmony and tranquillity in the State.
Ningthouja Lancha said that it is the duty of all the communities residing in Manipur to protect the integrity and beauty of the State.
He conveyed that there can be development only when all the different communities learn to live peacefully with each other and with mutual understanding.
Floral tributes as well as gun salutes were paid in honour of the brave martyrs as a part of the event.
