UNLF observes 51st foundation day

Imphal, November 24 2015:
The proscribed United National Liberation Front (UNLF), Manipur on Tuesday observed its 51st foundation day in all the units of the outfit.
A press statement signed by Director, Department of Publicity, M Sak-hen said that main event of the day was observed at GHQ of MPA, which is the army wing of UNLF, where Central Committee Chairman of the outfit Kh Pambei and Vice Chairman A Wangba attended as Chief Guest and President respectively.
Manipur People's Army COAS Ng Pamheiba, HRD Secretary Ksh Yoiheiba, Department of Health Secretary O Chingkheinganbi, DCC Member N Thabal and Assistant Secretary Publicity were Guests of Honour.

The function was also attended by Directors of different departments of the outfit, party cadres, GSOs of MPA, officers, NCOs and army cadres.
Central Committee Chairman inaugurated the function by hoisting the UNLF flag and singing of a revolutionary song.
Rich floral tributes were also paid to the founders and martyrs of the outfit who had sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty of Manipur.
In the celebration held at MPA's 241 Unit, General Secretary of UNLF attended as Chief Guest while MPA's Vice Chief of Army Staff Lt Col I Tonsana being the Guest of Honour.
The 51st anniversary celebration was also held at 191st Unit where Organisation Secretary M Chaoba and Department of Family Welfare Secretary S Tamphajao attended as presidium members.
The 293 Unit also celebrated the foundation day under the leadership of Finance Secretary M Iboyaima.
The anniversary was also celebrated at District Hqs of Manipur and Unit Hqs along with the localities.
All the departments of the outfit and units located at foreign countries also celebrated the UNLF's 51st anniversary, said the outfit and extended its gratitude to those who participated in the celebration and those who had helped to organize the anniversary successfully.
