Imphal, November 24 2015:
The results of the bye-elections to Thongju and Thangmeiband assembly segments shows that people are against the Congress Party, said former minister of Manipur O Joy on Tuesday.
He was speaking at the felicitation programme of winning BJP candidates at BJP Manipur Pradesh office.
Speaking at the programme organised by BJP Manipur Pradesh, O Joy said that BJP's win at both Thangmeiband and Thongju A/Cs proves that people are against money power and muscle power.
Congress's efforts have gone in vain since the government is only for few sections of people.
Congress has lost the election because peoples are dissatisfied with its long term regime, added O Joy.
The former minister further said that the two BJP MLAs, who won the bye-elections, will be at front and work against the Government's wrong policies.
Speaking at the function, BJP Manipur Pradesh President Th Chaoba said that peace and development will prevailed in Manipur only when BJP comes in power.
Let a good governance prevail in Manipur by winning above 40 seats of BJP in the State's 2017's general election, called Th Chaoba.
The winning MLAs of Thongju and Thangmeiband assembly segments will be the pioneer of change in the Manipur society.
Muscle power and money power of Congress has gone in vain and it is the right time to step forward and wiped out the Congress party from the State.
BJP should emerge as winner in the 2017 general election to give the public a new taste of good governance, added Th Chaoba.
BJP Manipur Pradesh General Secretary Asinikumar said that the result of bye-elections to Thongju and Thangmeiband A/Cs are the starting points of BJP's new successful campaigns and the beginning of dark days for Congress.
Various Congress ministers and MLAs had campaigned before the bye-elections but the result shows the dissatisfaction which the public had against the government since a long time.
Congress's regime has started coming to an end and the BJP along with the people of Manipur will move forward to bring good governance in the
State, added Asinikumar.
