Cabinet nod to recognition of 3 tribal dialects

A meeting of the State Cabinet has given approval to recognition of three tribal dialects today.
Talking to mediapersons after the Cabinet meeting, Education Minister Moirangthem Okendro, who is also the spokesperson of the State Government, informed that the three tribal dialects which the Cabinet has approved recognition are Poamei, Liangmai and Gangte.
The Minister further informed that the Cabinet has given green signal to appointment of Maibam Sandhyarani, sister of Maibam Bimolchandra of Khurai Ningthoubung Leikai who was killed in the Mumbai terror attack on November 26, 2008, to the post of a Science Graduate teacher at Khurai Heikrumakhong High School.
Today's Cabinet meeting has also given approval to re-structuring of some posts in MPSC through abolition of unnecessary posts and creation of some which are essential, Minister Okendro said, adding that the move is being made to expedite the functioning of the Commission.
Furthermore, the Cabinet has approved setting up of a Social Audit Directorate for proper auditing in Rural Development Department, the Minister added.
