Ruda School students clarify

Residents of Ruda School Boarding has today rubbished the allegations charged by standard X students on the boarding warden and non-teaching staff.
Yesterday, 40 standard X students of Ruda School reportedly escaped from the school's boarding.
After police rescued all the 40 students, they alleged mistreatment by the boarding warden and non-teaching staff.
296 standard X and XII students residing in boarding called a press conference at the school boarding today and clarified that the allegations thrown by the 40 students on the boarding authority were baseless and were done only to save themselves.
The tales of torture meted out on students by the warden are all fabricated the students said.
Their confessions yesterday sounded like there are no rules and regulations in the boarding which is completely false, they said.
The students also rubbished the allegations that son of the founder took out a licence gun and threatened the boarding inmates.
"Non of us are aware of the incident", they clarified.
They have further clarified that the story of torture and mistreatment related by the 40 students are all fabricated and baseless.
In the meantime, KSA, AMSU and DESAM Thoubal unit, in a joint statement, have urged the parents and guardians of the 40 students to attend a discussion programme on January 16 at Waikhom Mani Girls College at 12 noon.
