Imphal, May 11 2012:
In an unprecedented manner, the results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination, 2012 conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (BOSEM) and Higher Secondary Examination, 2012 conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM) were declared simultaneously today, that too ahead of the results of CBSE affiliated schools in the state.
Normally, the results of Higher Secondary Examination were declared first and it was followed by that of HSLC exam, that too after the results of CBSE have been declared.
On account of the delayed in declaring the results of exams conducted by both BOSEM and COHSEM, students from Manipur faced the difficulties in seeking admission outside the state.
This problem may become a thing of the past, if this year's declaration of HSLC and Higher Secondary Examination results set a precedent.
The overall pass percentage recorded in the Higher Secondary Examination this time is also an enviable 82.86 percent as against 75.67 percent last year.
