ATSUM executives on tour reach Senapati

An interaction programme was held at DC Conference hall, Senapati between the executives of the All Tribal Students Union, Manipur (ATSUM) led by its president and the district administration in the presence of DC and other DLOs.
The programme was held in the presence of the Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) which is one of a federating unit of the tribal student body.
Executives of the apex student body stressed on education, health facilities, forest and environment and functions of the ADC in the district.
Seiboi Haokip, president ATSUM, at the end of the meeting stated that the executives of the tribal student's body are on a hill districts tour programme.
The student body has reportedly enquired about the system of education, health facilities, forest and other major issues related to functioning under district administration at each hill district.
The team had also enquired about the functioning of PHSC, PHC, CHC, Sub-District Hospital and the District Hospital and shortage of medical staff there.
The student body had also enquired about the need for a blood bank and ambulance in the district.
The student body had also enquired functions of ADC in the hill districts about various developmental programmes taken up under 14 & 15 Finance Commission and the 3rd State Finance Commission during their tenure.
The student leader asserted that the meeting was meaningful as a positive response and cooperation came from the DC of the district.
Senapati district is reported to be the first district for their tour in the hill districts.
