Imphal, July 20 2012:
The "Heart to Heart" project of Rotary Club of Imphal in association with Rotary Club of Polo City Imphal has invited applications from children in the age group of 7 months to 18 years and belonging to economically weak families with BPL card holders for undergoing open heart surgery free of cost.
According to a press statement released by Rotarian Dr Radheshyam Oinam (Ph D), Coordinator, Gift of Life (India) & Heart to Heart Project, the surgery would be carried out free of cost under the Rotary's "Gift of Life" programme at the Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi.
The applications along with the required documents should reach the Rotary Multi Service Centre, Mantripukhri by Sunday, July 29 between 10am to 1pm.The "Heart to Heart & Gift of Life" has so provided the benefit of free open heart surgery to 82 children from Manipur.
Rotary Blood Bank, New Delhi is providing the requisite blood.
Accommodation, meals and transportation at Delhi are provided by Manav Ashray, Delhi.
