Meritorious students feted at Khangabok

Khangabok Private Centre Committee today felicitated 30 toppers of the Centre who have passed the HSLC Examionation 2012 in first division at a function held at the premises of Khangabok High School.
Works Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar, MLA Okram Landhoni and ZEO Thoubal S Tomba graced the function as Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honour respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Works Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar lauded the efforts and dedication of teaching and non-teaching staff of Khangabok Government High School, which has around 600 students, at a time when parents prefer to send their children to private schools for education.
Encouraging the parents to send their children to Government schools, the Minister said that the state government is leaving no stone unturned towards improving the education system of the state.

MLA Landhoni said that education is one of the most important components which is necessary for development of a society and called upon the parents and students to work harder for a better society.
She assured necessary requirements and infrastructures to the Khangabok High School.
Out of 803 students from 11 different schools, who sat for the examination in the Centre, 790 students got through.
The Committee felicitated 30 toppers of the Centre from out of the 790 students who cleared the examination.
Among the toppers, Laishram Kabichandra of KM Blooming School stood 22nd position in the HSLC Examination 2012.The toppers were honoured with cash incentives and citations.
