A bid to submit a memorandum to the Chief Minister by the candidates who appeared in the DPC for appointment of havildars and constable radio telephone officers (CRTC) in the police department was foiled by the police today before they reached the CM's bungalow.
Irked candidates under the banner of the Havildar and Constable Radio Telephone Officers DPC Faced Candidates Association-2008 announced that they will launch democratic forms of agitations if the results are not declared at the earliest.
Speaking at a press conference held at Mahabali Kabui Community Hall, Imphal, convener S Jotin of the association said that the physical efficiency tests for havildar/CRTO were held in August 2008 at Manipur Police Training College (MPTC), Pangei which was followed by written tests and viva-voce subsequently.
Two and a half years have passed since the DPC but authority has failed to declare the results till date said Jotin.
He further said that they had submitted a memorandum on March 1 to the CM but no action has been taken and they have set an April 25 deadline for the government to declare the results.
If government fails to do so the association will be launching agitations, he warned.
