CM reviews Covid-19 preparedness again

Following the rapid spread of Covid-19 all across the globe and in India as well, Chief Minister N Biren Singh convened a meeting today to once again review the preparedness of the State to fight against the virus, apart from instructing the officials/Depts concerned to ensure that no stones are left unturned in the process.
During the meeting held at the CM's Cabinet hall with participation of top officials from the Health Department, private hospitals and DCs, the CM also inquired the officials on whether the State is fully prepared in case the virus reaches Manipur.
An officials source informed that health officials apprised the CM that all possible measures have been taken up.
They also explained to Biren about certain shortcomings and hurdles which need to be solved.
Particularly, RIMS officials informed the CM about the shortcomings faced by the hospital in the preparation to combat the virus.
The officials also told him that isolation wards have been set up at JNIMS and RIMS for treating patients with Covid-19.The source continued that the Chief Minister instructed the private hospitals of the State to ensure the presence of isolation wards, apart from reminding that the State Government has stopped giving out ILP permits to outsiders in an effort to stop the virus from reaching the State.
On the other hand, issues surrounding CMHT scheme were also discussed during the meeting, the source added.
