Health camp

ATSUM and ICHAM today organised a mega health camp at Tuilaphai, Churachandpur district in association with MSRAM and MC&DA where around 500 people coming from 35 villages were examined free of cost.
The health camp was conducted by five doctors, four nurses, two ASHA workers and two pharmacists.
Medicines were also provided free of cost to the needy patients.
Capitalising on the opportunity provided by the health camp, ATSUM and ICHAM functionaries held an extensive interaction session with chiefs of different villages.
The village chiefs highlighted different problems encountered in their respective villages such as lack of health care facilities, absence of modern infrastructure, inadequate means of transport and communication etc.
Later, ICHAM president N Rajendro expressed keen desire for Government authorities to pay special attention to the basic requirements of Tuilaphai and surrounding villages at the earliest.
ICHAM also donated sports materials to the students of Tuilaphai School.
Earlier, the health camp was flagged off from TG Higher Secondary School by Hill Areas Committee Chairman Manga Vaiphei.
