PIL filed against general strike on NHs

In order to give a breather to the troubled public of the state, social worker RK Joysana today filed a PIL to the Guahati High Court, Imphal Bench against the ongoing general strike imposed by the SHDDC demanding a full-fledged Sadar Hills district.
The PIL was filed by RK Joysana as the petitioner against the Union of India represented by the Secretary (Home), Government of India, the State of Manipur represented by Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Government of Manipur, Ministry of Road Transport and Highway, Government of India represented by its Secretary, IGP (Law & Order), Government of Manipur, IGP (Intelligence), Government of Manipur, Border Road Organisation, Sadar Hills District hood Demand Committee (SHDDC) represented by its President Ngamkhothang Haokip and Secretary SHDDC Yohen Kipgen represented by president Ngamkhothang Haokip.
The PIL was made against the unconstitutional and illegal indefinite blockade imposed by the SHDDC from the midnight of July 31 till date on the National Highway 39 and 37 demanding a separate revenue district.
The petitioner prayed for a direction directing the respondents No 1 to 7 for taking up immediate necessary action for restraining the SHDDC from indulging any act of calling the illegal and unconstitutional indefinite blockade the two NHs in the larger interest of the people of the state residing both in the hills and valley who are solely depended on the two NHs for their survival.
It may be mentioned that the Gauhati High Court, Imphal Bench had passed orders directing the state respondents to produce responsible functionary of the so called association before the court not declare them as proclaimed offender following which the chief functionary of the organization ANSAM and its allies were declared to be proclaimed offenders by the state government.
Moreover, the petitioner appealed to the Prime Minister of India, the Chief Minister of Manipur and other Departments of the state to declare that the government will not consider forever if any demands are lodged by any organization, association or communities by imposing road blockade or economic blockade on the two National Highways.
