CM Ibobi assures to conduct MPSC examination annually

Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh today assured that his Government would put in best efforts to hold Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) exam every year to recruit MCS/MPS officers.
The Chief Minister was speaking during the distributing laptops to 20 MCS, MPS, MFS, Junior MCS and Election probationary officers of 2014 batch in his office chamber today.
The 20 MCS, MPS, MFS, Junior MCS and Election probationary officers had earlier a month-long foundation course conducted by the State Academy of Training.
The Chief Minister appealed to the probationary officers to work earnestly with dedication and live up to the expectation of the people and said that he wanted the newly recruited officers to hold upper posts during their career and expressed his wish for maintaining good relations between the public and Government officials.

The Chief Minister claimed that many people from outside the state had expressed that MPSC was a fine commission and assured that his Government would put in best efforts to hold the MCS/MPS competitive exam annually.
Chief Secretary PC Lawmkunga, State Academy of Training Director General and Additional Chief Secretary Nikhilesh Jha and other officials were also present at the occasion.
Earlier, speaking at the concluding day of the month-long foundation training for MCS; MPS; MFS; Junior MCS and EO Officers at State Academy of Training, Takyelpat, Nikhilesh Jha, Additional Chief Secretary, who is also the Director of State Academy of Training observed that MCS; MPS; MFS; Junior MCS and EO Officers should be always informative in every field, in order to be able to take right decision at the right time while serving in major government departments.

Nikhilesh Jha further said that all the newly selected civil Officers should know the line of works they are going to render and exhorted them to maintain cordial relationship with elected Members and local representatives by establishing proper communication channel.
Sharing information with associates and co-ordinates before taking up any important work will prove to be a wise step for all the Officers, he added.
Noting that civil officers are for looking after the needs of the public and bringing development in the State, he called upon the Officers to positively address needs of the people who approached them. M Harekrishna, Additional Directorof State Academy of Training, who was also present at the occasion, said that knowledge gained by the Officers from the foundation training will come in handy during the course of their services and asserted that project works conducted during the training course will serve purposeful to all the Officers at the time of taking hard and tough decision.
At the end of the programme, certificates were presented to the Officers who took part in the foundation training course.
